BOB BRAUDES -
BOARD PRESIDENT

Bob Braudes is a Computer System Architect at Avaya. He started volunteering with St. Vrain Habitat with his company during their Month of Giving. He found the experience extremely rewarding and sought other ways to contribute, leading him to join the Board of Directors. His main hobbies include photography and outdoor activities. He particularly enjoys hiking, skiing, and nature photography. He also is on the Town of Erie Open Space and Trail Advisory Board, where they review development proposals and make recommendations to Erie’s Board of Trustees regarding reserving Open Space and placement of neighborhood trails.

 

DAN DEGERLIA -
BOARD VICE PRESIDENT

Dan is a Colorado native, born in Denver, raised in Longmont. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Regis University, and a Bachelors in Economics from Metro State University of Denver.

For almost 10 years, he worked in trades, including lumber yards and commercial plumbing. Dan has over 15 years of experience with Commercial Real Estate and Commercial Lending. He has also participated in several Habitat builds. His own journey to homeownership inspired his decision to join Habitat’s board. He wanted to help others with homeownership options, promote the wellbeing of their families, and offer financial accolades that accompany homeownership.

Dan is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and teaches at Darkhorse in Longmont. His sons also train with him. He also enjoys fixing old cars and home improvement projects.

 

DEREK HILL - BOARD TREASURER

Derek Hill is a Senior Vice President at FirstBank of Boulder County where he has worked since 2000. When another FirstBank officer stepped down from the board, Derek jumped at the opportunity to serve. He graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School in New Hampshire, where he was born and raised, and holds a finance degree from Regis University in Colorado. In his spare time, he enjoys playing games and going to Red Feather Lakes with his wife and two kids.

ALISA JEFFERY -
BOARD SECRETARY

Alisa is the Manager of Project Operations for Global Healthcare Exchange. She brings 20 years of professional experience in national and international project management across multiple industries including technology, automotive and the Olympics.

Alisa has served as a board member and committee chair for several organizations including Rotary and the Presbyterian Church, USA. Her passion is international travel having visited 40 countries so far.

 

RAQUEL YSLAS - AT LARGE

Raquel works for Cigna Health Healthcare. She learned about Habitat by volunteering while living in Denver.

Her family and faith has helped instill the value of service, which is reinforced through her work with Habitat. She looks forward to using her skills and talents to better the community.

Raquel is a huge Frida Kahlo fan and has traveled to see her work both nationally and internationally. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with friends.

 

CRAIG ELLSWORTH - AT LARGE
Craig lives in Estes Park and is excited to be an advocate for Habitat's role in providing affordable workforce housing in that community and the St. Vrain Valley. In his business life, Craig was a program Manager for both Apple and Hewlett-Packard in California, Texas and Idaho.

Craig has volunteered building homes with a variety of Habitat affiliates in the US, Nepal and Portugal. Upon moving to Colorado he decided that he wants to get more deeply involved with Habitat's mission.

 

LEROY COLBERT JR. AT LARGE

Leroy was born in Wright City, Oklahoma, and raised in Hugo, Oklahoma. After graduating from Booker T Washington High School in 1964, he completed a BS in mathematics from Langston University, January 1969. His first job was Industrial Engineer with Coors Porcelain Plant in Golden Colorado. Upon receiving an offer from IBM, he was a programmer at Boulder and Tucson plant sites, USAF Buckley Air National Guard Aurora, and Public Service Company, Denver. Subsequent years, Leroy managed I/T teams in Boulder, offsite teams in San Jose, Palo Alto, Tucson, and Minneapolis. He retired from IBM in 2003.

Leroy is a member at Second Baptist Church, Boulder Colorado. He serves as trustee, usher, and youth Sunday school teacher. As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he was a volunteer reading and math tutor, grades 3-5, at University Prep Arapahoe in Denver prior to COVID-19. Leroy and his spouse Shelby Jean reside in Broomfield.

 

DEANNA DYER -
AT LARGE

Deanna works as a Real Estate Broker Associate at Dyer Realty, Inc. She decided to join Habitat's Board of Directors because she admires the work the organization does in the community and its accomplishments over the years. She also appreciated the philosophy of giving someone a hand up, rather than a hand out. 

Deanna grew up in Longmont and attended CU Boulder where she played the French horn in the marching band. In her spare time, she is active in the Lions Club, the Longmont Association of Realtors and the City of Longmont Affordable Housing Task Force. For fun, Deanna enjoys hiking with her dog.

 

DREW DEPLER - AT LARGE
Drew decided to join the Board of Directors because he believes in Habitat's mission and model. Also, in his current role as Pastor, he sees development projects around the world and noted the extreme impact of the work Habitat is doing. 

Drew serves locally and nationally on several boards and committees.  His favorite activities are spending time with his family and enjoying the great Colorado outdoors.

 

SHAWN DIDDE - AT LARGE

Shawn is a Colorado native and currently a graduate student at University of Denver, studying real estate development. He began working with St. Vrain Habitat on their construction team and assisting with land development projects. Through this experience, he gained an interest in affordable homeownership and sought to further contribute by joining the Board of Directors.

 

SUNANDA DANGOL - AT LARGE

Sunanda, a native of Nepal, strongly believes in the importance of safe housing. Witnessing how stable housing positively impacts families, she was drawn to Habitat for Humanity's mission. Now a board member, Sunanda brings experience, compassion, and a desire to make a difference. Beyond her work, she adds her Nepali roots to everything she does, including organizing the annual cultural celebration, Nepali Jatra, in Longmont. Sunanda is dedicated to making her community better through her involvement with Habitat for Humanity, looking forward to contributing to a more inclusive world.
