Building Beloved Community, One Saturday at a Time
At St. Vrain Habitat for Humanity, we believe a build site can be more than a place where homes are constructed. It can also be a place where community is strengthened, relationships are formed, and people from every background come together with shared purpose.
That’s the vision behind our Beloved Build Days — a series of special volunteer build days throughout 2026 that celebrate the richness, diversity, and heart of our community.
Inspired by the idea of the “Beloved Community,” these build days invite people to serve side-by-side while honoring different cultures, identities, experiences, and groups that help make our region stronger. Each month features a unique themed build day designed to create space for connection, service, and belonging.
2026 Beloved Build Day Schedule
- February 14 – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Build
- March 14 – Women Build
- April 11 – Salam Build
- May 9 – Beloved Community Build
- June 13 – Namaste Build
- July 11 – All-Ability Build
- August 8 – Heroes First Responders Build
- September 12 – Manos Unidas Build
- October 10 – Pride Build
- November 14 – Veterans Build
These Saturdays are open to volunteers ages 16 and older, and no construction experience is necessary. Whether you’ve swung a hammer before or are stepping onto a construction site for the first time, there’s a place for you.
More Than Building Homes
Every Beloved Build Day is an opportunity to build more than walls and foundations. Volunteers help create safe, affordable homes for local families while also building understanding, compassion, and community connections.
These days are designed to welcome churches, cultural groups, nonprofits, businesses, schools, families, and individuals who want to make a difference together.
In addition to volunteering on site, community partners can also:
- Sponsor lunch for volunteers
- Lead a blessing or reading
- Share cultural traditions or stories
- Help create a welcoming and meaningful experience for all participants
Why It Matters
Affordable housing is built through partnership. It takes people from all walks of life working together toward a common goal.
Beloved Build Days remind us that service has the power to unite people across differences and create lasting impact — not only for Habitat homeowners, but for everyone who participates.
When we build together, we strengthen neighborhoods, deepen relationships, and create a community where everyone belongs.
