Moving From Theory to Action: Join the Be Love Longmont Community Summit
What does it truly take to build a just, nonviolent, and thriving city? For the past few months, our community has engaged in powerful conversations through our recent speaker series. Now, it is time to take the next crucial step.
The Beloved Community Coalition of Longmont is deeply honored to host a transformative, two-day intensive workshop: “Be Love Longmont: Envisioning the Beloved Community.” Featuring the renowned Dr. Vonnetta L. West (GoWest Consulting and The King Center, Atlanta), this summit is designed to help us move from theory to collective action right here in Longmont.

Co-Creating a Vision with an Expert Guide
Dr. Vonnetta L. West brings a wealth of expertise rooted in the principles of Kingian Nonviolence. Under her guidance, participants will roll up their sleeves to co-create a actionable blueprint for a more equitable and connected Longmont.
Because this is an intensive, collaborative experience, we are looking for local leaders, neighbors, and advocates who are ready to fully dive in. To ensure the best outcome for everyone, we ask participants to make the following commitments:
- Attend Both Days: Commit to the full two-day schedule to ensure continuity and deep collaboration.
- Prepare Your Heart and Mind: Complete a few pre-workshop materials (selected videos and foundational readings from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.), which will be emailed to you upon registration.

Removing Barriers: An Investment in Our Future
To help cover the costs of bringing world-class training to Longmont, a donation of $75 is suggested. However, our priority is community representation over registration fees.
- Seniors & Youth: Completely free.
- Scholarships Available: Financial barriers should not keep anyone from this vital work. Scholarships are readily available for anyone who needs them.
